Alongside our Invictus Horizon Hills official Grand Opening, we hosted our much-anticipated Family Fiesta, which quickly became the highlight of the day. Coupons for food and games sold out as students, families, guests, and members of the public poured in to join the fun. The children adored the bouncy castles and the delightfully eerie Haunted Hospital, while the Petting Zoo, featuring lizards and snakes, was certainly not for the faint-hearted. Carnival favourites included zorbing, gel blaster shooting, and a dunking booth where brave attendees hit the target to send teachers plunging into a water tank. For food lovers, the World Food Fair corner and local food trucks served up delicious bites such as Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng, Kway Teow, spicy Ayam Gunting, Korean and Japanese light bites, Indian tea, cakes, pastries, ice-cream and ice-cold fresh Milo, perfect for cooling down in the intense afternoon heat. Our campus truly came alive last Friday! It was so special to see the spirit of togetherness reflected in every performance, from our Year 1s being absolute stars to our Year 10s, teachers and staff showing off their incredible talent on stage. 🌷💫 We also had an exciting inter-house Raya quiz competition that brought out great energy, teamwork, and friendly rivalry among the students, making the celebration even more engaging and fun! Our Invictus Horizon Hills campus officially celebrated its Grand Opening with distinguished guests from both Johor and Singapore joining us for this momentous occasion. Three years ago, the campus began with just 80 students; today, it has grown into a thriving international school of over 800 students, with even more nationalities continuing to join our cohorts. Ms. Alexa Tang, Board Member of the Invictus Group of Schools, Mr. Mannan, our Principal, and Mr. Sadiq, President of the Parent Support Group (PSG), addressed the audience with heartfelt wishes, welcoming the guests and celebrating the successes we have achieved so far. The festive atmosphere was brought to life by a traditional Chinese drum performance, a lively lion dance, and a spirited medley of songs and dances by our Glee Club students. The course focused on practical strategies to develop questioning techniques and promote deeper thinking in the classroom. The Johor Taekwondo Junior & Open Championship, held on the 11th and 12th of April 2026 at the Velodrome in Iskandar Putri, proved to be a spectacular showcase of skill, discipline, and family pride. Among the many talented competitors, the Palamuthan siblings delivered an extraordinary performance, sweeping gold medals across three different age divisions. Tharshannya Palamuthan from Year 10 Joy demonstrated poise and power to claim the top spot, while Khabeshanyaaa Palamuthan from Year 9 Joy matched the excellence performance with another gold. Not to be outdone, young Cherrvinyaa Palamuthan from Year 4 Kindness completed the golden hat-trick, proving that talent runs deep in the family. Our IGCSE and A-Level students attended an important examination briefing conducted by Ms Joanna, Deputy Principal (Secondary). The session covered key guidelines to help students prepare for the upcoming examinations, including punctuality, examination rules, and overall readiness. Students were reminded to arrive early, bring all necessary materials, and strictly adhere to examination regulations. Ms Joanna also encouraged students to take care of their well-being and manage their time wisely throughout the examination period. Year 10 students explored the topic ‘Pengangkutan dan Pelancongan’ (Transportation and Tourism) through a creative and engaging activity. Using the ‘StoryboardThat' application, students applied newly learned vocabulary to create their own stories based on real-life travel experiences and different modes of transport. Each storyboard reflected their understanding of the topic while showcasing detailed storylines. This activity enabled students to strengthen their language skills by using vocabulary in meaningful contexts. By combining visuals with text, they were able to organise their ideas clearly and express themselves more effectively in Malay. The creative element led by Ms Radhika, also encouraged students to think critically, making their stories imaginative and engaging. The use of ‘StoryboardThat’ enhances learning, making lessons more interactive and enjoyable. It supports different learning styles, especially visual learners, and helps improve memory retention.
