Invictus International School Spring Hills was honoured to host 75 Korean school principals on 3 June 2026 as part of a professional leadership sharing programme for school leaders in South Korea. ๐ฐ๐ท๐ Our Principal, Mr. Albert Alcantara, and Deputy Principal, Mr. Mac Arthur, shared key insights, experiences, and leadership strategies to support their development as future senior leaders. Early Years 1 Dolphin class started learning and exploring sea animals and life under the sea. The children practised their hand-eye coordination by catching fish using fishing ropes. Our Year 6 students were getting busy with their Graduation Projects. There were lots of recycled materials, colourful clay, glue and paint, as they assembled their creative pieces, and they were also researching extensively for more facts and information to support their project findings. Year 4 Joy had a joyful Science lesson exploring the causes of earthquakes. They were given puzzle pieces which acted as tectonic plates and their mission for the lesson was to collaborate in groups, using toothpicks and marshmallows to make their own earthquake-proof structures. Ms Amylia then placed their super structures in trays, putting them to the test by shaking them vigorously, mimicking a powerful earthquake high on the Richter scale. Our talented scholar, Kiyo, recently participated in the International Music event in Dubai. This event, organised by the Professors Conservatoire in the United Kingdom attracted global participants. Kiyo was the one and only representative from Malaysia and one of the youngest participants. In the Ensemble performances, Kiyo used an amazing total of seven instruments, and she has also found new fun in music composition. We are delighted to congratulate Gan Shi Jia from Year 1 Care for her outstanding achievement at the Hailun International Music and Arts Competition (HIMAC) 2026, organised by Hailun Piano International. Competing at the national level in Group B, alongside participants with piano grades ranging from Grade 3 to Grade 5, Shi Jia demonstrated exceptional musical talent, confidence, and dedication. Her remarkable performance earned her the Platinum Award, the highest honour presented in the competition. This achievement reflects Shi Jia's hard work, perseverance, and passion for music. We are proud to celebrate the achievement of Emily Ching from Year 2 Care, who recently participated in The Malaysia Challenge Cup Dance Competition 2026 (MCCDC) at the national level. Our Invictus Talent Scholar, Ng Xi En from Year 7 Care, was awarded a Gold medal ๐ฅ in the 50m LC Breaststroke at the MSSM National Championships. She broke the MSSM national record that has stood since 2007! The Pancake Challenge brought out the best in our Year 6 students as teams of young master chefs went head-to-head for the top three prizes, transforming the Cafe area into a bustling culinary arena. More than just taste, the judging criteria demanded excellent teamwork, thoughtful use of secret ingredients, spotless workstations, boundless creativity, and eye-catching presentation, and our students rose to every challenge. Some groups constructed towering pancake stacks that defied gravity, while others wielded their batter like artists, creating imaginative shapes and intricate patterns. The plating was equally impressive, with wildflowers, chopped mangoes, sliced strawberries, and vibrant blueberries adorning the dishes, though the crowd favourites remained the timeless combination of chocolate chips and banana pieces. At the end of the sizzling session, every student was rewarded for their hard work, digging into soft, scrummy pancakes generously dipped in maple syrup and chocolate sauce.
