Student Behaviour Management

A warm welcome to all at Invictus Horizon Hills. Our secondary school programmes are designed to offer a comprehensive and well-rounded education that prepares students for the future. Our Year 7-8 students embark on the Fablab programme, whereby it allows them to showcase their creativity. Our Year 9 students focus on building a strong academic foundation and preparing for the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations. Our Year 10-11 students have the flexibility and freedom in choosing their IGCSE subjects that align with their strengths and career aspirations. Besides providing our Year 12-13 students with the academic rigour they need, we also guide them through their career choices with university application support, career workshops, and one-on-one counselling.

At IHH, sustainability is at the heart of our mission. We believe in creating an environment that fosters ecological responsibility. Structured Progression Through Mileposts

To ensure smooth transitions and age-appropriate development, our Primary section is organised into three structured mileposts:

• Milepost 1: Year 1 & Year 2
• Milepost 2: Year 3 & Year 4
• Milepost 3: Year 5 & Year 6

Each milepost is led by Heads of Year (HOYs) and Assistant Heads of Year (AHOYs), providing consistent leadership and close monitoring of student progress. This approach ensures continuity in teaching practices, progressive skill development, and seamless transitions between year levels.

Our curriculum is anchored in the Cambridge International framework, providing a strong foundation across all subjects, supported by research-based teaching approaches.

English and English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Through rich reading experiences and structured language activities, students develop into confident, independent readers and communicators with a lifelong love for books and storytelling.

Non-native English speakers receive personalised language support through our dedicated EAL programme, enabling them to access the curriculum confidently while celebrating their multilingual strengths.

Mathematics and Science

Using the Singapore Maths approach, we emphasise conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mental fluency, helping students build accuracy and logical reasoning. Our Maths programme is supplemented with White Rose Maths as well as Marshall Cavendish resources which align with Cambridge.

Science lessons ensure that learning is experiential, hands-on and inquiry-based, enabling learners to investigate how processes work through research, experiments, observations, analysis and real-life applications.

Global Perspectives

This inquiry-based subject explores real-world issues from multiple viewpoints, investigating topics like the environment, culture, health, and technology, learning to understand global challenges. It prepares young learners to become open-minded, responsible, and informed global citizens.

Specialist Subjects

We offer a comprehensive range of subjects. Our art, music, drama, and dance programmes help students discover their talents and creativity, while building teamwork, self-expression, and presentation skills. Learners showcase their talents during weekly and special assemblies with the whole-school drama production as the main highlight. Physical Education plays a huge part in developing active learners who collaborate in teams, while displaying individual abilities. Language options like Chinese, Malay and French equip students with valuable communication skills, deepen their cultural awareness, enhance cognitive flexibility, and open doors to future international opportunities.

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health & Emotional Education)

We developed a comprehensive PSHE curriculum that shapes values, emotional wellbeing, and decision-making skills, guiding students to become caring and responsible individuals. Lessons are interconnected with our school’s CARE (Commitment, Aspiration, Resilience, Empathy) values.

Welcome to our Secondary school, where academic rigour is combined with purposeful holistic development to prepare students for success in IGCSE, AS, and A Level pathways. Our Secondary programme emphasises deep subject mastery, critical and analytical thinking, and the effective application of knowledge across disciplines. Students are challenged to question assumptions, construct well-reasoned arguments, and engage confidently with complex ideas. Assessment and homework are integral to purposeful learning and sustained progress. Aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, our assessment framework includes regular formative and summative assessments each term. Term 2 and Term 4 serve as key milestones through mid-year and end-of-year assessments. Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS, and A Level Examination cohorts sit for mock examinations to build confidence and examination readiness. Our homework routines and policy reinforce classroom learning, promote independent thinking, and develop strong study habits.

Awards and Recognition

Awards ceremonies recognise academic excellence, consistent effort, and positive character development. Students are celebrated through awards such as Top in Subject, Top 3 in Class, C.A.R.E Core Value Awards, and Invictor of the Term. Assemblies

Assemblies are central to building a strong school culture. Separate Primary and Secondary assemblies provide age-appropriate platforms to reinforce values, celebrate achievements, and share key messages. These include guidance sessions by our school counsellor, Spelling Bee and Storytelling competitions for Primary students, and departmental challenges for Secondary students, encouraging leadership, responsibility, and confidence.

Celebrations and Events

Learning at Invictus extends beyond the classroom through a vibrant calendar of events. Cultural celebrations such as Chinese / Lunar New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, and Christmas foster respect and intercultural understanding. Welcome to Invictus International School, Horizon Hills. Since commencing operations in January 2023, the school has been underpinned by a robust operational, financial, and governance framework designed to support sustainable growth and effective educational delivery.

As Head of Operations, I oversee the school’s operational and financial functions, ensuring that systems, resources, and controls are in place to support effective teaching and learning. My responsibilities include campus operations, safety and compliance, financial management, budgeting, and administrative governance, all of which contribute to the school’s overall sustainability and performance.

Strong governance, sound financial stewardship, and operational discipline are essential in enabling academic excellence and student wellbeing. In partnership with the Principal and leadership team, we ensure that policies, processes, financial planning, and infrastructure are aligned with the school’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and international standards.

We place strong emphasis on risk management, safeguarding, financial accountability, and continuous improvement. Transparent reporting, prudent resource allocation, and open communication with parents and stakeholders are central to maintaining trust and supporting long-term growth.
