Principal
A Mannan
At Invictus International School Horizon Hills, we are committed to nurturing resilient, responsible, and empathetic learners through holistic education that blends academic excellence, strong leadership development, and global perspectives. Our mission is to ensure that every child is inspired to reach their fullest potential and is equipped with the values and skills to succeed in an ever-changing world.
School Leadership
Leadership at Invictus is guided by collaboration, vision, and responsibility. Our school embraces a culture where staff and students are encouraged to take initiative, work together, and bring innovative ideas to life. By building a leadership ethos that is shared across the school community, we cultivate an environment of trust, openness, and accountability. This approach ensures that students not only see leadership modelled at every level but also develop the confidence to step into leadership roles themselves.
Scholarships and Student Talent Development
We believe that talent deserves recognition and support. Through our scholarship programmes, Invictus identifies and nurtures outstanding abilities in academics and talents in sports, leadership and the arts. These scholarships provide deserving students with opportunities to excel, while enriching the diversity and vibrancy of our school. By investing in young talent, we create an environment where excellence is celebrated and every learner is encouraged to stretch their potential and inspire others.
Extra-curricular Activities (ECAs)
Holistic education at Invictus extends well beyond the classroom. Our Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) and sports programmes play a vital role in developing resilience, teamwork, and a balanced lifestyle. Through our collaboration with Horizon Hills Country Club (HHCC), students have access to outstanding facilities in swimming, badminton and golf, raising the standards of our sports offerings. Alongside competitive teams, a wide variety of creative, academic, and service-oriented ECAs allow every student to find their passion and strengthen lifelong skills.
Student Behaviour Management
Creating a safe, supportive, and respectful environment is central to learning at Invictus. Our behaviour management system focuses on positive reinforcement, fairness, and restorative practices. Students are encouraged to reflect on their choices, learn from mistakes, and understand the impact of their actions on others. This consistent and compassionate approach helps build responsibility, empathy, and maturity, ensuring that every learner feels both accountable and supported in their journey.
Enrichment and IT Literacy
Beyond the academic curriculum, Invictus offers enrichment opportunities that allow students to explore their interests, broaden their skills, and grow in confidence. From debating, coding, and public speaking to art, design, and cultural events, these programmes spark creativity and curiosity. At the same time, we place a strong emphasis on IT literacy, ensuring students are well-prepared for a digital world. By teaching coding, digital research, and responsible online citizenship, we equip learners with the skills to use technology thoughtfully and innovatively.
Overseas Trips
Global exposure is an essential part of our education. Our overseas trips provide students with opportunities to experience diverse cultures, take part in international academic challenges, and strengthen their independence. These experiences connect classroom learning with real-world contexts, fostering global awareness and preparing our students to become open-minded and empathetic global citizens.
At Invictus International School Horizon Hills, our vision is clear: to develop the whole child by combining leadership, scholarship, enrichment, technology, and international perspectives. We are proud to shape students who are future-ready, grounded in strong values, and inspired to make a meaningful difference in the world.

A warm welcome to all at Invictus Horizon Hills. Our secondary school programmes are designed to offer a comprehensive and well-rounded education that prepares students for the future. We focus on providing a robust academic curriculum combined with opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and social development.
Our Year 7-8 students embark on the Fablab programme, whereby it allows them to showcase their creativity. Our Year 9 students focus on building a strong academic foundation and preparing for the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations. Our Year 10-11 students have the flexibility and freedom in choosing their IGCSE subjects that align with their strengths and career aspirations. Besides providing our Year 12-13 students with the academic rigour they need, we also guide them through their career choices with university application support, career workshops, and one-on-one counselling.
We believe that continuous professional development (PD) is key to maintaining high standards in education. Our PD initiatives for teachers focus on enhancing pedagogical skills, fostering innovative teaching methods, and ensuring alignment with global educational standards.
We encourage peer observations and collaborative lesson planning, allowing teachers to learn from each other and build a supportive community of practice. As part of our partnership with Cambridge, teachers have access to exclusive PD resources and training programmes, ensuring they stay at the forefront of educational best practices.
Since the inception of IHH, we have consistently added value by reviewing and adapting our curriculum to ensure that it remains relevant and rigorous. This includes introducing new subjects, refining existing ones, and incorporating international perspectives.
We have cultivated an inclusive and transparent communication culture with parents, encouraging active involvement in school activities and decision-making processes, fostering a strong sense of community. We have integrated technologies to enhance learning experiences, making learning more interactive and accessible for all students.
At IHH, sustainability is at the heart of our mission. We believe in creating an environment that fosters ecological responsibility. These efforts are integral to our ethos of preparing students to be responsible global citizens. Through both classroom lessons and school-wide campaigns, like IHH School in the Garden, we educate students about the importance of sustainability and encourage them to adopt green habits. We empower students to take the lead on projects, such as tree planting, organising waste drives, and advocating energy saving on campus.
We place a strong emphasis on academic rigour, ensuring that students are challenged, motivated, and equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for future success. Regular assessments and feedback allow us to track students' progress and provide timely interventions, ensuring that all students reach their full potential. We cater to the diverse learning needs of our students by offering additional support where needed, as well as opportunities for accelerated learning for those who excel.
Our collaboration with Cambridge is a cornerstone of our commitment to offering a world-class education. This partnership allows teachers and students to benefit from a wealth of resources, including curriculum guides, assessments, and teacher training materials, all developed by one of the most respected educational organisations in the world. With Cambridge’s international reach, students gain from a curriculum that incorporates global perspectives, preparing them for success in a rapidly changing and interconnected world.

Welcome to Primary where we believe in nurturing both academic excellence and holistic growth for every child. Our vision is to create an environment where learners are encouraged to explore, question, and apply their knowledge meaningfully, building the confidence, resilience, and empathy they need to thrive in today’s world and prepare for the future. Learning extends beyond academics to nurture character, creativity and emotional intelligence.
Structured Progression Through Mileposts
To ensure smooth transitions and age-appropriate development, our Primary section is organised into three structured mileposts:
Each milepost is led by Heads of Year (HOYs) and Assistant Heads of Year (AHOYs), providing consistent leadership and close monitoring of student progress. This approach ensures continuity in teaching practices, progressive skill development, and seamless transitions between year levels.
Our curriculum is anchored in the Cambridge International framework, providing a strong foundation across all subjects, supported by research-based teaching approaches.
English and English as an Additional Language (EAL)
Through rich reading experiences and structured language activities, students develop into confident, independent readers and communicators with a lifelong love for books and storytelling.
Non-native English speakers receive personalised language support through our dedicated EAL programme, enabling them to access the curriculum confidently while celebrating their multilingual strengths.
Mathematics and Science
Using the Singapore Maths approach, we emphasise conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mental fluency, helping students build accuracy and logical reasoning. Our Maths programme is supplemented with White Rose Maths as well as Marshall Cavendish resources which align with Cambridge.
Science lessons ensure that learning is experiential, hands-on and inquiry-based, enabling learners to investigate how processes work through research, experiments, observations, analysis and real-life applications.
Global Perspectives
This inquiry-based subject explores real-world issues from multiple viewpoints, investigating topics like the environment, culture, health, and technology, learning to understand global challenges. It prepares young learners to become open-minded, responsible, and informed global citizens.
Specialist Subjects
We offer a comprehensive range of subjects. Our art, music, drama, and dance programmes help students discover their talents and creativity, while building teamwork, self-expression, and presentation skills. Learners showcase their talents during weekly and special assemblies with the whole-school drama production as the main highlight. Physical Education plays a huge part in developing active learners who collaborate in teams, while displaying individual abilities. Language options like Chinese, Malay and French equip students with valuable communication skills, deepen their cultural awareness, enhance cognitive flexibility, and open doors to future international opportunities.
PSHE (Personal, Social, Health & Emotional Education)
We developed a comprehensive PSHE curriculum that shapes values, emotional wellbeing, and decision-making skills, guiding students to become caring and responsible individuals. Lessons are interconnected with our school’s CARE (Commitment, Aspiration, Resilience, Empathy) values.
Outdoor Learning and Real-World Connections
At Invictus, education goes beyond the classroom. Outdoor learning experiences and immersive learning journeys connect students with nature, their local community, and real-world contexts, sparking curiosity and strengthening problem-solving skills.
A Community That Nurtures Growth
We believe education thrives through partnerships. Parents, teachers, and community partners work hand-in-hand to create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where every child is challenged, encouraged, and recognised in their individual ways.
We celebrate our diversity and together, we are creating a vibrant learning community where children grow into capable and compassionate individuals who are equipped with a life toolkit for the future.

Welcome to our Secondary school, where academic rigour is combined with purposeful holistic development to prepare students for success in IGCSE, AS, and A Level pathways. Our Secondary programme emphasises deep subject mastery, critical and analytical thinking, and the effective application of knowledge across disciplines. Students are challenged to question assumptions, construct well-reasoned arguments, and engage confidently with complex ideas. Alongside academic excellence, we place strong emphasis on character, resilience, ethical reasoning, and global awareness, equipping learners with the intellectual discipline, independence, and maturity required for higher education and future leadership.
Nurturing Minds, Shaping Futures
We deliver a holistic education that goes beyond academic success. We believe every student has unique potential, and our learning environment is designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and character. Through purposeful programmes, meaningful experiences, and values-driven guidance, we support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth, preparing them to become responsible, compassionate, and globally minded individuals.
Assessment and Homework
Assessment and homework are integral to purposeful learning and sustained progress. Aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, our assessment framework includes regular formative and summative assessments each term. Term 2 and Term 4 serve as key milestones through mid-year and end-of-year assessments. Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS, and A Level Examination cohorts sit for mock examinations to build confidence and examination readiness. Our homework routines and policy reinforce classroom learning, promote independent thinking, and develop strong study habits.
Awards and Recognition
Awards ceremonies recognise academic excellence, consistent effort, and positive character development. Students are celebrated through awards such as Top in Subject, Top 3 in Class, C.A.R.E Core Value Awards, and Invictor of the Term. Families attend the ceremonies to share these moments, celebrating achievements, strengthening the partnership between home and school, and inspiring students to take pride in their learning journey.
Assemblies
Assemblies are central to building a strong school culture. Separate Primary and Secondary assemblies provide age-appropriate platforms to reinforce values, celebrate achievements, and share key messages. These include guidance sessions by our school counsellor, Spelling Bee and Storytelling competitions for Primary students, and departmental challenges for Secondary students, encouraging leadership, responsibility, and confidence.
Celebrations and Events
Learning at Invictus extends beyond the classroom through a vibrant calendar of events. Cultural celebrations such as Chinese / Lunar New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, and Christmas foster respect and intercultural understanding. School-wide events including National Day, Malaysia Day, drama productions, Family Fiesta, and World Children and Youth Day provide opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and leadership, shaping well-rounded learners ready for a global future.
