Our first year at Spring Hills has been a remarkable journey, made possible by the dedication, trust, and support of our students, families, and staff. Together, we have built a nurturing and inspiring community where learning, creativity, and confidence flourish. To commemorate this milestone, we created a special pin, which was presented to every member of our school community as a symbol of unity and shared achievement. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Looking ahead, we promise to continue strengthening our school community, enhancing the learning environment, and creating even more meaningful experiences for our students. On the last day of term 2, our teachers delighted students with a special Panto performance. Panto is a short for British Pantomime, It is a festive, family-oriented musical comedy theatre show traditionally performed at Christmas. It is often based on classic fairy tales, and is filled with songs, slapstick humour, and lively audience participation. Taking to the stage in character, our teachers played their roles brilliantly, entertaining and engaging the students who made up an enthusiastic audience. It was a heart-warming and memorable experience to see teachers step out of the classroom and perform for their students, creating a joyful and different kind of connection. The performance added a festive and cheerful touch to our last day of term, leaving everyone smiling as we headed into the holidays.

Under the guidance of Mr Tom Mitchell (Head of Arts), students are showcasing their impressive Design & Technology skills through hands-on, creative projects. A wonderful showcase of creativity, craftsmanship, and design thinking across year groups. 🌟Desk Tidy -Year 8 Year 8 have done a study on Cities and their timeline from Pyramids through to Rome and Modern cities of today. They produced their own desk tidy using different Cityscapes as a theme for their Desk Tidy. 🌟Pencil Box - Year 7 Year 7 have just finished their first ever workshop project using saws, the sanding machine, drills and Varnish to complete a Pencil Box. The lids were finished with their names on. Next time they can create their own design to be laser cut. 🌟Architectural Model - Year 9 Year 9 have been working in pairs and designed a shipping container house using foam, acrylic, and even some plywoods and MDF to make a scaled model of their chosen house, which they made for either a family, a football player or a refugee as their client.

On 10 December, our Invictus Spring Hills community came together for the Food Drive House Competition and successfully collected a total of 2,984 kg of Food Aid, breaking last year’s record by an incredible 200%. This meaningful effort will support 30 B40 families in the Masai area, 19 Invictus employees in the B40 category, and Exodus Women’s Shelter in Segamat. It was truly a collective Invictus effort. With the support of our Headmaster and Heads of School, alongside teachers, students, parents, and corporate staff, everyone played an important role in bringing this initiative to life. Special recognition goes to Mr Arnaud Germain and his student leaders for leading this impactful initiative. Together, we made a real difference.

What a joyful and festive day it was at our Primary Winter Concert! Our primary students stayed in their Christmas costumes all day, filling the school with cheer and excitement. From instrumental performances and musical showcases to light-filled dances, our students truly shone as they confidently shared their talents on stage. Adding to the magic, parents enjoyed warm hot chocolate, festive cookies, and special photo moments with Santa. The smiles, music, and laughter made this celebration especially memorable. We are truly delighted by the wonderful spirit and happiness shared throughout the day. Thank you for making this year’s Winter Concert so special!

On the last day of Term 2, our campus was filled with excitement, laughter, and celebration as students marked the end of the term. The younger students were a bundle of energy on the school field, taking part in a special 'Colour Run' where they joyfully threw coloured powder into the air and onto one another, creating a rainbow of fun, happiness, and unforgettable memories. They also enjoyed class parties, spending time mingling with friends, sharing snacks, and playing games together. Meanwhile, our older students took part in spirited games of captain’s ball, volleyball, dodgeball, football and badminton, where teamwork and friendly competition earned valuable points for their houses. Last evening, our school was transformed into a magical winter wonderland filled with festive cheer and joyful celebration. Students dazzled the audience in their festive outfits as they performed delightful Christmas songs and dances, spreading warmth and holiday spirit throughout the campus. Families were captivated by the twinkling fairy lights and illuminated stars, while beautifully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths, lovingly crafted by students using recycled materials, added a meaningful and creative touch to the evening. With food galore as families shared delicious dishes, the sense of community was truly felt. In the true 'Spirit of Giving', our school came together to support underprivileged families who are facing challenges, especially at this meaningful time of the year. Through a school-wide campaign involving teachers, students, and families, we collected non-perishable, shelf-stable food items to donate to 'Food Bank 448', a local food bank in Johor. The response from our community was overwhelming, with generous contributions including rice, pasta, powdered milk, tinned food, biscuits, and crackers. Food Bank 448 works closely with local businesses and communities to collect, store, and distribute food to families in need, ensuring support reaches those who need it most. The prize presentation for the first house activity took place during the Secondary assembly on 17 December. The house captains worked closely with their committee members and put on their thinking caps on how to decorate the house notice boards. We were surprised by how creative our students can be and the judges had a hard time deciding on the winner. After much delibration, Mars house emerged as the winner and the captain and vice-captain went on the stage to receive the prize. We were honoured to welcome representatives from Jumonji Junior & Senior High School, Tokyo, Japan, a prestigious private girls’ school with a proud history of over 100 years, to our campus this morning. Our leaders had a meaningful discussion with Ms. Kaoru Ayabe, Vice Principal, and Mr. Mitsuru Adachi, Special Assistant to the Executive Director, Jumonji Gakuen. Both schools shared educational visions and aspirations for future collaborations. The visit also included a campus tour and exchanges on teaching practices and student development. Jumonji Junior & Senior High School is set to sign a landmark academic collaboration agreement with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the first of its kind between a Japanese high school and UTM. It has also recently established a partnership with the University of Washington, Seattle. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our Book Drive House Competition. Through the incredible generosity of our school community. Especially our parents and we successfully collected and donated over 1,500 books to Mari Membaca, a local charity dedicated to promoting literacy and expanding access to reading for children. This meaningful initiative reflects the power of teamwork and compassion, and it was truly inspiring to see our school come together to spread the joy of reading beyond our campus. We hope this is the beginning of many more initiatives that continue to make a positive impact in our wider community. Our Early Years children took part in a special Christmas assembly, where they confidently performed a selection of Christmas songs, spreading lots of festive cheer. As part of the celebrations, the children shared treats with one another in their classes and created a group project, making a Christmas tree with handprints.
