Year Placement Chart
Please consult the table below for our age appropriate student placement. Year placement is based on the child’s educational background and age on September 1st. Student placement decisions for those coming from a different school calendar are based on several factors, among which include age, educational history, diagnostic CAT 4 assessment, English language proficiency and the percentage of the school year already completed. The school reserves the right to review each application and determine the year placement for each child as guided by our age appropriate admissions policy.
Invictus International School follows the United Kingdom school calendar (August to June) but accepts students at any time during the school year.
We draw your attention to the school policy that states that once a student has been placed in the appropriate class they will remain there for the academic year. The placement team considers students strengths and needs with regard to academic proficiency across all content areas, such as competency, emotional maturity,family support, learning styles, motor skills and other related educational elements when students are placed age appropriately.
The academic team will continue to monitor students throughout the year and should a concern be found we will report this to the parent before the start of the last term with an educational solution that supports the child's educational journey being offered.
Please note that parents' requests for specific classes will not be granted.
*Please note entry into years’ 10, 11, IGCSE and 12, 13 Cambridge A levels is determined by a students previous education at ICGCE level, English proficiency and overall school reports.
