International Preschool in Johor Bahru

Here at Invictus International School Horizon Hills, we have a special curriculum for our young learners which is the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This curriculum was originally introduced in the UK as an educational stage for young children ages 0 to 5. EYFS is now recognised globally and is being used by dozens of international schools.

The EYFS aims to support the learning and development of young children. It is particularly directed at helping and guiding parents, teachers and other practitioners who are involved in providing care and learning experiences for these young children.

There are seven areas of learning under the Early Years Foundation Stage, all of which are equally important and connected with each other:

Communication and language
Understanding the world
Personal, social and emotional development
Physical development
Literacy
Mathematics
Expressive art and design

The EYFS does not only focus on setting out expected developmental milestones in the seven areas of learning and development but it also provides the right environment, guidance and provisions to enable children to grow, thrive and be happy. We understand that every child is always eager to learn, and has the potential to be resilient, confident, self-assured and capable.

When your child enters Invictus EYFS class, we provide them with essential links between home and school. That way, they can slowly transition from the home to the school environment.

When your child reaches Year 1, we will introduce them to a more structured program and guide them to discover the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
