Dr. Ng Siow Yee earned his PhD in 2012 from the National University of Singapore (NUS), specializing in Theoretical and Computational Physics. Serving 8 years as the Year One Physics Lab Coordinator at NUS made him a specialist in Instrumentation and Experimental Physics. He has taught various physics subjects related to chaos theory, computational thinking, programming, laboratory, clean energy, art of science, music, astronomy, cosmology, modern, and classical physics. This extensive academic journey has provided him with a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of physics. For the past 8 years after reading his PhD, he has supervised various undergraduate research projects (ranging from physics to engineering, data science, and finance) and also an examiner for Honour Year Research Project, Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, Singapore Young Physicist Tournament, etc.

His teaching philosophy revolves around active learning. He is a strong advocate for hands-on experiments and practical demonstrations, as they not only make physics concepts tangible but also spark curiosity and critical thinking. He encourages his students to explore, question, and discover the wonders of physics for themselves. Learning is a journey, and he's here to guide and inspire his students every step of the way.
