I am a fully qualified and internationally experienced South African native English (Language, Literature, and ESL) teacher, Humanities teacher, and Professional Tennis Coach who has worked in numerous countries over the last 28 years. My career has afforded me the privilege of working and in living in and around South Africa, The United Kingdom, Europe, Taiwan, The Maldives, Sri Lanka, Russia, and Malaysia, and has allowed me to experience the amazing people, natural attractions, and rich cultural diversity that constitute these fascinating destinations.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology, a Bachelor of Education degree (Secondary Phase), ESL certification, teaching licenses from South Africa (SACE) and England (QTS), a Sport Science diploma, as well as numerous Tennis Coaching qualifications from South Africa (TSA) and the UK (British LTA).

I consider myself to be a skilled and dedicated educator who is able to relate to students of any age, and can infuse a strong sense of enjoyment into classes, as well as successfully deliver all the requisite theoretical and practical aspects of language learning. I have a vast amount of cross-cultural teaching experience, strong communication and pastoral skills, and am able to develop an engaging rapport with children and adults alike. I am also experienced in teaching English through the medium of holiday tennis camps (for children 3 - 18yrs) and other multi-sports activities, which have run both as co-curricular as well as extra-curricular programs.

When not teaching, I can usually be found surfing, swimming, or playing frisbee at the nearest beach with my family and our dog. If beach conditions are not particularly favourable, I like to spend my free time exploring natural environments, exercising, cooking, watching movies, and doing road trips.
